ABOUT
Born in China and trained in industrial design at Emily Carr University in Canada and Lund University in Sweden, Jing Xia grounds her practice in continuous, intuitive exploration. Each work emerges as a morphing composite, inhabited by traces of impulse, material presence, and imaginative possibility.

Drawing from the tension between structure and collapse, and the generative force of cohesion and fragmentation, she treats materials as a testing ground—layering, peeling back, and reconfiguring. Her process is cyclical: gestures are repeated, erased, and reimagined with each iteration, capturing moments of transformation where opposing forces converge, creating expressions in a state of becoming.
